Completed: Porsche 911 GT1 Kremer LM '97

Another project complete, this time it's the privateer Kremer Porsche 911 GT1 from the 1997 Le Mans 24 hours. The base kit is Tamiya's 1/24 911 GT1 works car from the previous year with aftermarket decals from Renaissance and SMS carbon fibre on the engine and interior. The kit is excellent throughout as you'd expect from Tamiya, and the Renaissance decals are superb too. Not quite an eye catching livery as the Tamiya option but still nice to see a change The SMS decals caused a few problems because they kept breaking but I managed to use them, everything grey/black in the engine photos is c/f, although only the engine bay chassis seems shows up well on camera.

Fantastic! Very busy livery but it works well in scale. The engine bay looks superb. Any chance of bigger pics so we can see the details?

Very nice! I've always been a fan of the 911 GT1 especially the '97 model.

I thought the tamiya one was the 96 model?
Looks great!

Sure, i'd scaled them down here. I'll find the originals.

Yes it is, but it was run by several private teams in 1997 and later. The works team had moved to the Evo by then.

Looks super!

I have this kit but no wheels - I didn't read the auction decription very well . If I ever get round to doing it, I just hope it comes out half as good as yours.
