in progress- Dale Earnhardt 2001 #3
im building this as a short track car, not the Daytona car.
 the chassis after being assembled  here is the chassis painted. i also lowered the suspensiion  body in primer, also note i drilled out the fuel filler so i can use an aftermarket one, and cut off the kit spoiler, i will use one i make myself.  the tires , nearly done, still need to add wheel wieghts.  chassis after installing the engine, and some other things. the roll bar padding i make myself.   here is the body after the first coat of black.  here it is after painting the silver stripe along the botttom, im not to concerned with a perfect edge as a red stripe decal goes inbetween the 2 colors.   next i can decal, clear, and polish this up to a mirror shine stills lots more left to do on this, but i thought id share it here, even though there isnt a lot of nascar fans here. lol Last edited by JTRACING; 03-07-2005 at 11:43 PM.

Hey thanks guys, more engine photos will come once i add the rest of the hoses and wires.
little more progress, i got the body decaled and cleared, i will let this sit and dry, then i can polish it to a nice shine. sorry for the bad pics, have to take them inside cause its dark out   here you can see it has the proper short track stance with the left side being lower than the right.

I'm not a fan of nascar, but I can appreciate a good model. This looks really good man. But, more engine pics please!! Keep up the great progress! Frank X.

Hi,
Thanks for the nice comments! today i painted the inside of the body grey also. next i can finally polish this paintjob! im not concerned with the inside of the body being perfect as you dont see hardly any of it once the car is together.
