Airbrush user, we need you !

Hi

After looking several threads here, I saw there were no databases of paint for airbrush. Those of you that use Airbrush, you can help lot of modeller by giving us few detail about your paint.

Here the information that we would need to make a nice database.

Paint Brand: (Tamiya Testor, Alclad etc.)
Paint Type: (Enamel, Lacquer, Acrylic etc.)
Mix Ratio: (How many thinner/paint you mix for your airbrush? 1/1 2/1 etc.)
PSI used:(how many pressure you use ?)
Thinner used: (Type and brand)
Cleaner used: (What you use to clean your airbrush with this type of paint)

Thanks for your helps

Re: Airbrush user, we need you !

Sounds great to me! What about reviews/Pros/Cons of specific airbrushes, and info on dual and single action. I airbrush too, but Im too busy to type the stuff up right now.

If everybody posted the stuff Eric listed as a guidline I can make a new thread with all the stuff completely organized.

Great idea Eric!

Air pressure?

Don't forget to state the air pressure!! It's just as important as all the other factors too.

Re: Airbrush user, we need you !

I have found that actual ratio for mixing varies with every bottle of paint, I mix by eye and experience has taught me what consistency is best for spraying.

Paint brand: Tamiya
Paint type: Acrylic / Lacquer(decant from can)
Mix Ratio: varies / none required
Thinner used: Tamiya acrylic thinner/ none required
Cleaner used: rubbing alcohol/ lacquer thinner
