Black Widow Special Edition CRX!

Well, This is my first attempt at modifying a kit. I am going to try and replicate the Black Widow special edition CRX. There will be a lot of bodywork invilved with this so I don't really know how it will turn out. You can see a pic of the real car at www.grounddesigns2000.com. Click on black widow, then black widow series 1, then crx special edition. Below are some pics of the progress so far. I have nearly completed the front bumper but it still needs a little work. Started adding a few pieces to the body to try and set up a starting point for making the widebody pieces. Also removed the front and rear bumpers as they will both be scratch built. Let me know what you think. Any advice from some of you guys that build a lot of body kits would be apprecitiated. Btw, the base kit is of course the fujimi crx, not great but not that bad either.











I also plan on painting it silver in the end just like the real car. I am not sure what rims to use but I will keep searching for something that might work. Any ideas on rims would be helpful. I want them to look something like the ones on the real car.

this was my plan to build my crx but figured i would go a diffrent way. but hey looking good so far. just besure to make it all even and not 2 wide. the pictutes make it seem 5ft wide it in real life is pretty small.

In pictures it looks like its 5inches, not 5 feet.

I know it looks really wide right now. I have cut it back to the right size. I just wanted to start really wide with those first pieces and work at it from there. Also, does anybody know how I can get a hard copy of the pics from the grounddesigns site? It won't let me right click and I e-mailed them for copies but they never replied. Suggestions?

Print Screen, then paste in paint, crop, and print.

i can show u the wheels u need they are called the fabulous profound scara 19in they look just like the ones of the car in the pics best of luck 2 ya
