Stereo
Hi guys,
Contemplating changing my standard stereo in my 1989 R32 4 door, the ariel is located in the windscreen, would this have to have a special adaptor fitted to have anew head unit put in?. Any ideas anyone, I have already had a band expander put on. Paul.

Dead easy, there is actually an aerial in the rear screen as well, you will need to buy an adaptor as the factory aerial lead is fitted with a two prong connector, you should be able to find one in the UK, other than that a Skyline is one of the easiest cars I have installed stereos into.

If you change the head unit dont forget to by-pass he rear amp located under the rear parcil tray. it is a round looking thing or you could blow your rear speakers you change also. The factory head units provide no voltage out so the amp does that. Changing the head unit will cause over voltage to be sent to the rear speakers along with the fronts.
