Change oil light

Hey guys as of the sat. b4 last i am the owner(well payer for) of a 2000 chevy silverado ext. cab 5.3 Vortec. I traded off my 99 Mitsu. Eclipse. Big difference there. Anyways the truck is lowered about 3/4 has a rear roll pan with hide a hitch, cowl induction hood, spray in liner, and flowmaster muffler. Just thought you might like to know some stuff about me and my new truck. Anywayz I was going to change the oil about the time the change oil light came on. I changed it, and the light is still on. From what im told its easy to reset, but no1 really knows how. Can some1 let me in on it?

Thanx,
JrS

Re: Change oil light

Turn the ignition on(don't start the engine) and push the gas petal to the floor three times within 15-20 seconds. Your information center light will flash five times signaling that it has been reset. turn the key off. then start the engine. should reset the reminder. Good Luck. CSI-Level3
