Theft system messed up
I've a Cressida 1988 with theft deterrent system. Unfortunately the system seems to be messed up. When I open the driver's door the alarm goes on sporadically. Right now I open first the passenger's door to avoid the annoying alarm sound. Does anybody have an idea how to reset (maybe deactivate) the whole theft system?

i have the same problem. but the simple way to disable it is to pull the HAZ. Fuse from the fuse box in the engine bay.

At first I had a little problem with this in my cress, but if I held the key in the unlock position (all of the way) for about a second, it wouldnt make the alarm go off. The alarm works that if the car is locked and unlocked or opened in any way other than using the key, the alarm goes off. If this doesnt take care of it, it could possibly be the lock, the key or the sensor needs to be replaced
