ALS is something you probably don't want to mess with, by nature it has a habit of destroying turbochargers. I'm don't even think you can buy an ALS commercially.
A turbocharged car will always be faster than the same car without a turbocharger. However, a turbo Sprint will not accelerate faster than a Corvette...ALS or not. Who's faster has a lot to do with what type of cars are being raced. Remember, lag happens before the turbocharger creates boost, so acceleration during this time will be the same as the NA car's. Your turbo lag is the NA cars full throttle acceleration, only their car never gets boost. Lag only seems like you're going slower because you haven't got boost yet, in reality you are accelerating at the exact same speed as before you turbocharged your car.

Re: anti lag system
There are commercialy avliable Anti Lag systems, and you can buy them and fit them, and they should work.
But thats only refering to the old style set ups that use a spark plug and fuel injector in the exhaust. They are of course noisy, and may or may not be legal. However there are other systems used, Mitsubishi use a much more descreate system on the EVO 7 and EVO 8 (not the US spec version though) which I believe somehow opens the exhaust side to the inlet manifold vacum at zero throttle, however Im not exactly sure how it works, as Iv only ever seen two refernces two it, and they were both very vague. It is however apprently extremly effective. But of course any anti lag system will only work if the turbo was already spun up, and they can only help keep it spinning for a very short period of time, so while they may reduce lag, only efficiant manifold, head, and turbo design can ever eliminate it. On that note if you ever get to drive a Turbo'd Lotus do it. There is no lag. none. at all, and thats at 12psi.

i toyed with this method on a tec 2 ecu. It's just toying with timing so that when the TPS says 0 throttle, timing will change so gas sprays past the exhaust valves. while it's fun...just remeber it's meant for racing when the drivers don't really not take their foot off the gas pedal...lol But it does make for some craaaazy looks, and badass flames out the exhaust...and a kick ass popping machine gun type noise. |

I stand corrected, I guess you can buy them.
