Yay! Go me, my first post ever, officialy proclaiming my spot as a
But anyways, i'm here about a question, whenever i get a chance I am always watching WRC, I am in love with rally driving as well as the drifting technique. The thing I am puzzled about is how exactley an Anti-Lag system works, the only thing i know is that it spools on the turbo system while apexing a turn so as to have a higher exit speed and good acceleration heading into the next straight. (i understand that some people also call these misfiring systems)
Now, what I want to know is the technical portion behind it, i gather it's called a misfiring system because of a misfire, but from what i know working at a garage, all a misfire does is kill your cylinders and isn't even good for your muffler. But i guess a rally driver is okay with that as they tune their engine every week. . . but anyways back to the topic, simply put . . . How does an Anti-Lag system work?
