Hey, im almost 16 and thinking about getting a 240sx and putting an sr20det (s14)

any one know if the sr20 swap, or the s13/15 front end conversion is street legal?

and yes, i am an idiot for wanting to make the car something its not

It can be street legal but he sr20 engine will be not be smog legal so Technicaly NO, but as we are all aware there is ways around passing emissions...

nothing u mentioned is street legal

the sr20det is ilegal

the silvia conversions are ilegal cuz the bumpers dont meet standards or something

if you have the urge to puta sr20 in your car then sreet leagal shoudl be the last thing on your mind.

most sr swaps remove pretty much everyhtinb ut the bare nessitys...on top of that many of the devices you install onto the car after make it ill-legal....me for example....no cat. sr20det...no egr. turbo timer....custom replament of the automatic seatbelts. no reverse lights no cluch saftey start (5-speed conveshoin) and if you got anythign done to a sr engine you chances of passing emisshions are as good as gone even if u gota cat. ofa truck.

most cops dont care about the conversion or they dont seem to here in florida, and there are no longer any emission tests here for me to worry about

well we have emishons here in PA. but the mechanics are a buncha drunkin poor redneck hillbillys....so you give em 100 bucks n u get your stickers....yeah thats my theroy its only ill-legal if they catch you and for the most part......im not gettin caught by no crown victora!

I have a feeling when I return to sates I'm not going to stay in Cali. I know AZ has no smog. speaking of Silvia's I have seen a few S13's that I thought were registered. Is that possible? or am I gonna have to dismantle it once it hits state side?
