Religion Forum

How about a religion forum, a place where people can discuss and debate thier beliefs between people of different cultures and beliefs to get an understanding of eachother. It could help me and alot of other people in this site.

Re: Religion Forum

Well, the argument with this is, seeing as there are so many differing opinions on religion, as well as those who voice theirs without concern of others religion, and those who may take something the wrong way may shoot back with a smartass comment and so on and so forth and a flame war would ensue. Also, generally speaking, we don't have too many religion threads started in the Philosophizing forum as it is.

Jon hit the nail on the head. Its just not going to be practicle to have one I'm afraid. It'd be nice to have, but it'd be nothing but a flame fest and thread locking exercise

Not that I like to point people away from AF for any reason (simple because this IS the best site on the web) you may want to check out

Re: Religion Forum

there are other forums for that kind of thing, perhaps you should try those like gigglesnirt said "this site is about cars, and other engines"

Well im talking about the off topic threads, there are those kinds of threads in af.com also. I do understand your point with the flame wars though, but I would make the suggestion that if somebody tries to start one there should be a strict policy that you get banned for it. People like that are just trying to get a rise out of people and dont have a genuine interest in the thread.
