i have a 97 and i have removed the back door on my van, and found the sensors but wasnt able to have time 2 clean it. iwas wondering if ne1 knows if it's the sensor with the electrical connection attached on either side of the door? The removal was easy with the rear door. I removed teh back panel with a pair of long needle nose pliers. You would have to pull the tabs with the section of the panel to prevent damage of the tab placement holders. There were about 13-15 i believe. then i had to remove one panel tabs on each side of the upper rear door panel to be able to remove the lower panel. then you would have to slide the panel to get the rear latch through the hole. then the assembly is in reverse. Hope this helps. I going to go remove the panel tomorrow and clean those contacts!
