PROGRESS: Custom Tamiya RX-7

Here is my new project. I have been awaiting to start this project from love of RX-7's. I need your help though. As most of you know, I am the ultimate progress person, I never finish my models, and they become dust collectors. I need you to cheer me on to the finish, I want to finish it but I dont think I can do it alone.

Heres the first pic of the hood (own design). I first taped out what I wanted to cut out, or file.

UH-Oh, what happened to the headlights. Out with the old in with the new, scratchbuilt projectors to come!

looks good. some sleepy eyes might go better than projectors, but that's my opinion.

I know what you mean, however I dont think the Veilside D1-GT kit Im going to put on would flow real well with sleepy eyes. Not to mention I am a huge fan of projectors.

Thanks for your input though.

Hey Joeham, think about this. If I were going drifty, would I be adding a veilside kit to this?

Here is the body kit I'm doing.

I would. Hey, I see it like this....if you've got the cash to afford this high powered car, and pricey body kit, so what if you tear it apart coming around a hairpin @40mph at a 39 degree angle. you can fix it!

LOL, then you don't know mike.

Nice work so far, mike. It'll beat the pants off of mine.

Suggestion for projectors: (you probably already thought of this) Cast a mold of the headlights and use clear resin to make the clear covers, then just build the light parts... and coat the inner lights with carefully laid tin foil... yeah... I'll talk to you more later.
