Back Window Wont Latch, Sorento 2004

Can anyone assist in telling me why the back window won't latch before I have to take it to the dealer? The latch just wont catch?

Re: Back Window Wont Latch, Sorento 2004

the latch mechanism on the body side of the lift gate may have gotten stuck/thinks the glass is shut when it isn't. have someone push the glass pop button while you put slight pressure on the mechanism and see if it flips over. even if this corrects the problem you will still want to bring it in to the dealer to have the latch replaced to prevent future failure.
