Question back seat wont "snap" back into place

Re: 2000 4-door Sunfire First time posting here. Im desperate to figure out this odd problem.

Im baffled as to why the back seat became unhooked to begin with. I cant seem to pop it back into place. Does anyone know how the buckles should face in order to snap the seat back into place?

Any ideas are welcome. Thank you.

The buckles shoould face so that the button to release the seat belt is away from the person sitting in the seat. As far as snapping the seat back, I assume you are talking about the bottom of the seat. Lift the front up, push it in as much as it can go back and then push the seat down. There is a mechanism that locks the back seat down. It's in the middle. Make sure there is nothing obstructing it and you should hear it lock in. Hope this helps.
