Funny smell
I recently replaced my exhaust pipe and muffler on my 88 firebird with new ones and they sound great and much quieter than before. The only problem is that when I rev my car high in the rpm band I can smell an odd odor in my car. It never did it with the old exhaust, only after I put on the new one. I'm not entirly sure what it is because it boggles me since it never happened before. I honestly cannot see how adding new pipes and muffler would create this odd smell. I've checked to see if their are any leaks, and I cannot find any anywhere. Can anybody help me out on this? I'm semi knowledgable about cars, and I pretty much do my own work unless its impossible for me to do (lack of tools and such). If anybody has any input on this please help me out. Thanks.

Many new exhaust systems smell until you burn out all the oil, paper labels, weld flux and any othe contaminants inside/outside the pipes. THis may take several months so I wouldn't worry about it for now...
