funny smell
my 03 focus started fine this morning. after running about 3 minutes it started a high pitch sound, then it started to smell funny. then it sounded like something locked up and it shut off but kept sounding like it was trying to start up. After the burnt smell went away there was a smell of pine. And the pine smell is lingering. It was about 20 degrees outside.

Do you notice any thing about the performance of your car?Is the power steering still working?Are the radiator fans kicking in?You are kind of sketchy on the details.You could have a bely slipping or an electric motor of some kind locked up on you.Check your car over and get back to us.That sounded kinda mean but it wasnt ment to,sorry
