1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start
My 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee is dead when I try to start it. The dash lights come on but completely dead when I turn the key. This happens frequently and after 6, 8 or whatever time; it wil start. I've had it towed, many times, to Jeep dealers and had a new fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, new tumbler for the ignition, fuel filter, and nothing has cured the problem. If it would not start and there was an indication of what's wrong and then fix - I would be a happy guy. So far it's made the local Jeep service dept. very happy. I've spent close to $2000 and still no resolution.
I was persistent, that's wearing thin. |

Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start
i had the same problem with my 95...took it to the shop, spent a bunch of $$ on ignition parts which didnt help anything and then just poking around myself noticed that the battery cable was loose. fixed that and its been good since...i doubt that your problem is the same (im sure your 'certified' jeep dealer knows his shit) but sometimes its the simplest thing. good luck
