99 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start

Yesterday I was driving down the street and everything was fine then all of a sudden my car slowed down then just stopped. All the gages are showing normal. It doesn't need any fluids. I had it towed home since it's Easter weekend and just went out to try and start it and all it makes the starting noise but doesn't turn over. There is no clicking. The messages on the front say check engine. My battery is two years old. The neighbors say it's not the battery but I think it might be? Any thoughts?

When you turn the key on can you hear the fuel pump run? Most common problems when suddenly quit running are fuel pump and crankshaft position sensor.Try spraying some starting fluid in the throttle body and try to start to see if could be fuel related.
