Alright guys, I've been fiddling with this thing for hours. I bought an aftermarket knob for my manual '93 prelude and have been twisting and yanking the leather factory knob for quite awhile now and it won't budge.
I rolled the boot down and separated the shiny plastic thing that holds onto the knob. I've tried twisting the knob (to see if it was screwed on) and tried just pulling it off; nothing. I haven't used excessive force, though, being afraid to bust the gearbox or something. So how do I take this blasted thing off? |

after you've separated the boot and the clip when you flip it inside out, the knob just unscrews, counter-clockwise direction.
