I'm having a problem with the driver's side power sliding door, and although its still under warranty I figured I'd see if anyone had a helpful hint before I bring it back to the dealer.
The door opens fine manually, but when I try to open it with the keyless remote or overhead buttons the motor pops it out an inch and then it stops. It seems to behave very similar to when the fuel door is open. The problem is intermittant which leads me to believe the motor and track are o.k., but a sensor is malfunctioning. This problem also just started with the recent cold snap (high temps in the teens). Maybe it thinks the fuel door is open? I've tried opening and closing the fuel door several times, but no luck. Thanks, in advance. Dean |

Re: '03 T&C Power Sliding Door
Figured I'd post a follow-up to this one as an FYI for anyone having a similar problem in the future.
The dealer first ordered and replaced the latch, to no avail...then ordered and replaced the wiring harness, to no avail...and finally ordered and replaced the sliding track, and that solved the problem. So the problem was either a combination of these or just the track. |

Re: '03 T&C Power Sliding Door
It sounds like it was a bent 'tooth' on the track. I've seen it happen a few times.
