02 T&C power sliding door issue

I got a 2002 T&C Lxi, this is an intermittent problem. Sometimes the drivers side power sliding door will click open but that is it. It will not retract open. Sometimes it will work normally as well. Funny thing is is when the sliding door will not work the lift gate will act the same, pop open but not raise up. Now if the sliding door opens successful the lift gate will also work correctly. So somehow the problem is related to both the sliding door and lift gate. Could the problem be a relay or sensor? Has anyone else had this sort of issue? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Re: 02 T&C power sliding door issue

they should not be related as they have each an individual seperate modules i know the power lift gate will not work in cold weather as the assist cylinders lose pressure and may not be able to hold the door up after the gear disengages you should se the dealer and have them perform bulletin#23 04 03 as this deals with this issue

can you point me to the bulletin please?

i went to the dealer and they said they will replace the wiring for $400 and hopefully that will solve the problem, what a freaking joke...

i have a 2001 T&C LXi and the problem is only on the passenger's side in cold weather, works great in summer weather and also driver's side is perfectly fine.
