replacement muffler...what size pipe?

I have a 2001 Tahoe LT with the 5.3L. I believe it is a single inlet muffler and a single outlet. I want to buy a Flowmaster 50 series muffler. What are the dimensions I should look for in terms of pipe size and muffler size?
