What size pipe....???

I just got my welder fixed and want to start the good ol U-bend delete on my 98 GT But what size is the pipe that comes from the cat. I plan on just removing the u bend and resonater all in one move all the way to the y pipe split. The only thing i really want to gain is noise so when i get my cam in it will purrr

Exhaust pipe diameter is 2.25 inches. You'll get plenty of noise with the resonator removed.
