What do you Skyline drivers think of the Golf R32?
I think that it's a mockery. Why hasn't someone at Nissan filed a suite or something against it..?

Because in Skyline terms, "R32" is only a chassis designation. It's highly doubtful that Nissan trademarked such a trivial part of the car.
If the Golf was called "Skyline," then VW would probably have a problem. Besides, using the R32 name just makes the Golf look even weaker compared to the Skylines.

that's the same idea as ford suing VW for using the name "fox" for one of their cars, b/c the mustang chassis was called the fox chassis...
unless it's a twin turbo'd HPA r32... those push 500+hp, 202mph top speed... and some sick 0-60 and 1/4 times... there's a couple vids and write up on motortrend http://motortrend.com/multimedia/mtv...12_03_topvids/

leave the R32 alone just cuz it is named after your beloved cars doesn't mean they are tryin to steal the name, they prob didnt even think of the nissan you guys gatta get a grip

Probablly(sp) the same way they feel about the Ultima having "GTR" in its name.......who cares
Although the Nissan would have a hell of a time trying to beat up on it at open road course events...but ANYWAYS

it's not named after it.
it's an R model. it's got a 3.2 liter motor in it. no other tie in. why don't you guys let stupid threads die?
