D16 Modifications

Everyone at the street races seems to be running a b16 engine with only intake and exahust, some have turbo charge but thats about it, I have a puney D16Y in my 97 civic dx coupe and very little cash in pocket. Now what are some simple modifications I can do to increase the horsepower and torque. I know the D16 can out run the B16. Would header be an option if so which header, what about crank pulley and camshaft plus the fly wheel I'm new at this so someone tell me where to start. Maybe I should sell my car. Haha!!!

Surf over to www.deltacam.com You send them your stock cam and $65 plus shipping and perhaps tax, some days later they send you back your cam with an agressive 262 or even more agressive 272 regrind and once installed back in, you've just gained yourself roughly 15hp from a nice under $100 investment. The most bang for buck mod you can do that won't blow your motor like nitrous can do if used often. If you go with the 272 grind over the 262, you'l probably want to upgrade your valve springs and retainers. The 262 grind cam should yeild at least a 10hp gain and you won't need to upgrade your springs/retainers off the bat.
