2004 1500 Silverado - clunk & vibration
Have a 2004 1500 ext cab. only has 5k miles. Have been to dealer twice with noise in drive train between 2 & 3rd gear (auto trans) and also vibration in dash. Was told this was normal. Doesn't sound normal to me. Have had other Chevy 4 x4's with no problems. Anyone else out there with same problem??

Re: 2004 1500 Silverado - clunk & vibration
Just bought mine December 13th ( May be the problem) At 1K miles it stopped pulling pulled it down to lower gear and worked fine. Check transmisson and was a quart low added quart took to dealer and he said nothing wrong. Yesterday same problem so I taking it back in. It has 3k miles now.

Sounds Like A Trans Problem.i Would Take It Two A Tranmission Shop To Find Out The Problem Then Take To The Dealer.

You were correct, took it to dealer and they replaced valvebody in the tranny and now it seems to work fine
