Help! Have a 2000 Jetta GLS VR6. 110,000 miles and going strong. Need to upgrade rotors and want to hear the experience of others and get some recommendations soon. I will be changing rotors and pads, front and rear within the next month. And do you have any suggestions for installation?

I really dont see the point in upgrading the brakes. I have the exact same car. Remember the brakes are one of the strong points on our cars. Beside i dont see the point in changing to slotted/crossdrilled brakes. Why? Theres a reason why the Porsche race team went back to vented solids. Theres more braking area and they wont crack on you. If you know anything about racing you would know that Porsche is king, only contender but not quite is 360 Modena by Ferrari. You would not really be upgrading the brakes though. The kind your looking for will eat through pads and i hope youre a DIY. You get a better initial bite, but come on, after that there the same. I had brembos and what a waste of money. Save a little more and buy a supercharger, courtesy of VF-Engineering. My opinions are simply that and are based on experience. But if youre going for look than by all means. But if you want something impressive, than go with the r32 brake upgrade. I think autotech has them. Plus since they are VW oem, you shouldnt have a hard time at the stealer.
