brake rotor upgrade

I have a 99 v6 sedan and I want to know what is the best way to go as far as rotors for everyday and occasional performance driving. What do you think.

Re: brake rotor upgrade

stay with stock rotors and pads, that most economical way for daily driving and occasional sporting.
none aftermarket rotors (slotted, drilled and etc) improve brake performance.
pretty much all brake pads provide same performance, the one that will give improvment cost 3-4 times over OEM pads and that for about 10%-15% of improvement.

Re: Re: brake rotor upgrade

get some Brembo blaks(rotors) & some EBC green stuff pads.

You only really need drilled/slotted/dimpled rotors if your regular rotors get RED HOT(glow red) under having braking. Which usually on happens on a real race car, not one that looks like one.

I have a 2000 ex v6, i recently installed the following:
power stop rotors
and performance brakes, i think they're axxis brand (www.autospecialty.com)

I have noticed major increase in breaking power, and limited braking noise. I am very happy with the improvement, and my wife with the led foot needs the improvement. it's true only about 10-15% increase, but imagine having that increase when you really need it? worth the money in my opinion.

Your wife with that "led foot" is gonna burn them brakes very quickly - just a guess.

if you look at the engineering models and statistics, they actually last longer due to the heat release effects.
i had purchased OE brakes from the dealer and they lasted 1.5 yrs so anything beyond that is a plus.

going on 4 months now and they look atleast 95%...
