ok, giving up on the s14 for a while, need help with the s13
Ok well I'm giving up on finding the s14 for a while, or atleast till my legal settlement is done. I'm gonna fix up my5spd 89 s13 with the messed up ka24e. Ok I have a little more then 3k to spend on the car what do you reccomdend I do with it, the engine either has a severe vacume leak, or blown head gaskets my girl friends granddad had it over at his garage and did a compression test on it, and ..well it wasnt so good. Do you think I should go with a ka24de and turbo it, or sr20det...I'm using some of the cash to get a nice coat of paint on it, and a new cd player. Oh yeah typically how much do sr20's cost I might not need the labor depending on if her grandpa is good with imports..but if he's not how much well around how much for labor. I might have more questions about this car but thats about it for now.
I'll have my s14 one day, till then I have 3k to hook this bitch up.

sr20det...stock turbocharged...much cheaper,..,.,if ur gonna swap u dont swap to a KA

swap in dohc ka and rebuild it with forged internals...Then turbo
or skip the internal work and go straight to the turbo
