Question Apex'i turbo timer and alarm question

I just installed the Apex'i turbo timer in my 95 eclipse and I was wondering what I need to change to get my alarm to work properly with it.

Before, when I turned off the car and got out, after a few seconds it would beep and then a few seconds after that, the doors would lock and the alarm would engage.

Now, after the timer times out, none of the automatic locking and arming features work. While its timing down, I can't push the remote to lock and engage the system either. I have to wait until it times down before hitting the button.

If I wait for it to time out before getting out of the car, then after opening and closing the door, it will automatically do everything.

Is there any way for me to change something to have it go through the arming sequence it did before after the timer times out. Thanks for you help.

Re: Apex'i turbo timer and alarm question

i misread your question... other wise it is just a wiring harness designed with alarm sensors in mind. you should see if you can adjust the auto-arm timing of your alarm. i had a similar alarm on another vehicle and i could adjust wether i wanted it to auto-arm 1 to 10 minutes after engine shut-off, regardles of the doors. look into the programing of the alarm, it sounds high end, and it may have these features.

Thank you. I will look into the alarm system. I have to do some research though because I have no idea how it works. The alarm came installed when I bought the car. On the "clicker" it says Carbine so if anyone has any information on that, I would greatly appreciate it.

If that doesn't work, you will have to get the timer to send a pulse to one of the door switch inputs. This will make the alarm think you are just leaving and will arm itself then.
