Question ?Aftermarket T-Tops?

Whats up fellow Camaro Owners,
Does anyone have any idea on how much it would cost to put aftermarket t-tops on my 95 Camaro and where to get it done at?

And a fine howdy do to you.

I have seen a couple of cars that have had this done. It was about ten years ago though and I havent heard of it since. Back then I think I remember someone telling me they paid around a grand. Dont be fooled by any cheap quotes. Get a few. Suggested places are those who do custom work such as chop tops. And then ask how many they have done. Its not very common anymore I dont think. Good Luck. If you get any quotes post them here.

Thanks guys for all the info you gave me. but here is a question, an idea that just came to me in Chemistry today.... what if i turned my 95 v6 Camaro into a targa top instead of t-tops????
I think that this would be a much easier approach to converting my car. instead of trying to find or order custom glass, i would just use the car top and just take a saw to it. THe top is already weatherstripped and i would just have to weatherstrip the front and the back of the top. after that fit it with some clamps and i think i would be all set.

Give me your Opinions

Mr. Camaro

One thing you may be overlooking about the targa top option is that you will have to beef up the frame... If you cut the top before doing this that sucker will bend to the point where you won't be able to open the doors.

If you're really ambitious turn it in to a ragtop. Its ALOT of work, but worth it. I did that to my 92 after finding a donor convertible in a junkyard

Eh Trilogy, thats a '95 Camaro? How come you have seats from the later models in your car?

My advice for you Mr.Camaro is do not hack up your ride putting in T-Tops. I don't know about you boys but hardtop F-Bodies are so rare these days and sell for so much more than T-top models that you'd honestly be better off selling your car as is and buying an identical version with T-tops (you'd make a few bucks in the process AND save the cost of installing aftermarket t-tops).

If you are going to keep your car relatively stock then t-tops are great - I'd install some sub frame connectors though. I love my t-tops but at this point wish I had gotten a hardtop. It sucks because I will be forced to rip up the interior to put a roll cage in once the new motor gets built. If mine was a hardtop then I probably could have gotten by with just some SF's.

EDIT: Shit, I didn't realise you had a V6 Camaro. Hack away!!! and enjoy the summer cruisin bros.

i dont know if i would jump on with the targa top idea, but i love my tops and would definitely look for one of those kits you can buy for the conversion
