No not really, but i believe all roofs were set-up for t-top install if some wnated it down the line. It may cost a pretty penny though. Once you get those t-tops, you can get rid of your a/c and free up some hp .

i have a 98 camaro that was a coupe and me and my brother put t-tops in it ourselves using some sites we found...i think from 93 up they had the t top frame already built in (correct me if i'm wrong)...we got the t tops and headliner from a junk yard and the weatherstripping and a pillars and such off of ebay.....all together i was out about $350 and it took us about 2 days to do it....its not that hard but you just need to be really careful and double and triple check your markings before you cut... i have some pics if you want them later...we had to put to use a dremel with a ton of reinforced cut off wheels, sawzall with a fine thick blade, cut off wheel, and a long screw driver to pry up the fiberglass roof, and a sharp knife to cut away the silicone....best of all they do not leak!!! here are some sites i used to help me....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they are already set up for ttops if you want to change it over yourself from 93 up. I know that my 94 has the set up for it, I'm just not confident enough to do it myself.

yeah thats what i thought....its really easy and we own a body shop so everything was pretty much at hand which helped more than anything and the pictures were really good on the sites showing how....they really made it easy and once you have the fiberglass roof off you can really see theres not too much involved.....what honestly was the hardest was cutting out all those spot welds where the t top mounting brackets are.....imo it was definately worth it!

Re: Aftermarket t-tops....

Alright, awesome dude! I'll be doing some reading now, hahaha.

Was that all you used, just common workshop tools? No welding or paint booth or anything?

Thanks a bunch, this means I don't have to spend all that time tracking down a t-top maro.

yup we used all common tools, nothing special....no welding of any sort but the corners will need to be fiberglass fabricated, the t top pages show what needs to be fabricated...nothing major....i havent done it to mine cos i like the fact that i put them in myself.....but nope nothing major and we didnt run in to any major problems just make sure you are prepared and have enough TIME.....good luck....if i can do it anyone can! i had no experience doing anything like this before at all neither did my brother and it turned out great...i'll try to post some pics tomorrow! good luck! oh yeah....you need a pop rivet tool and power drill too....forgot all about that.

Re: Aftermarket t-tops....

Man, I've been wanting to do that for a long time now. I might actually consider doing it seeing as in how it was simple enough for you and the other guys who made those pages. The only thing I couldn't see myself doing though is the fiberglass part. Since I have no experience with that at all.
