TJM Bumper collapsed

Just thought some of yall would like to know about this if you are interested in getting a TJM bullbar. A guy on the 4x4parts board has a frontier with a warn 9k lb winch mounted in it and was winching and it bent outward in a v shape. Here is the link where you can find pics and the story behind it.

Unhappy

Eeek, I've got a T17 going on next weekend, practically the same without the stuff in front of the grille and lights. Hope that's an isolated case.

How does the crumple zone look? (I'll assume its okay)
This might add some more insight into "what will fail first, the winch bumper or the crumple zone?"

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this thread, but I haven't been here in a while. I couldn't see the whole story in the link, but I have a TJM bumper and Warn 9000lb winch and I can't figure out how he did that. I pulled a Cherokee across a black top road with his tires locked and my bumper didn't budge a milimeter. Was he pulling the Xterra into a tree ala "The Gods Must Be Crazy"?

Yeah, that's a pretty old thread. I can't figure out how it happened either.
