engine noise, sounds like lifter noise
I have a 2001 Silverado, 5300 on cold startup I have lifter noise, the shop says it's normal. How could something sound so bad and not be? Sounds like lifters not pumping up? goes away after a couple minutes, if I slow down the idle it's not as loud- turn on air or put in gear right away.
