Sounds Like Lifter Noise( Help )

I JUST PURCHASED A 2001 4.0 AURORA FROM REPUTABLE DEALER BUT IT SEEMS I HEAR LIFTER TICKING ONCE CAR WARMS UP. It is at the front head and i dont know if it is normal or if it is fuel injectors making the noise, but it does sound like lifters. Do any of u have a ticking noise at front head. I am going to take it in for service because i still have some warranty left on it but I don't want to be bullcrapped by them.
Thanks for help.

Thumbs up

Same problem. I've got the ticking coming from the front head. Pisses me off, too. Cause I bought my 02 just 1.5 months ago.

Not sure if it is actually coming from the head. Now I'm thinking water pump instead.

I also have a knocking, almost scary when sitting in stop and go, I haven't tracked it down yet, 2 years now, also it doesn't do it down the road, only stop and go when the engine is really hot. I'm thinking injectors. Should run some cleaner in it I guess, I always use Amoco/BP but who knows.

Could be the injectors like you said. Don't really know. But, I've put plenty of injector cleaner though the car. I know my injectors are spotless.
