Hi all....
We'll its been about 1 year since I had to sell my red 95 GSR - and I can't stand it anymore! I'm gonna get another one (red GSR). 1. Since I've been out of the loop, I didn't realize that that STOPPED making them. DOH! 2. So.. now, I'm hunting for a used one....and I WILL find one.... 3. Although I stayed with my stock tires with my old geesr....is there a general consensus from those "in the know" about what "better" tire I should replace my stock tires...when they wear out.... no, I don't plan to race it... just drive it like a normal mortal.... but occasionally hard ![]() 4. If I do end up with a 99 or a 00, are there any other problems I should look out for ...besides the usual: vibrating heat shield, cracked A-pipe, slow window motor....and occasional rattle? Looking forward to coming back to the GSR family very soon. T |

Yokohama A520's the best tires out ther under 120 dollars. They grip and ride like the 200 to 300 dollar tires, but even better and they last and look sweet.
My 2 cents./ |

Listen to me bro, I bought me a set of the Bridgstone RE-730s.
Look at the specs: @ www.tirerack.com , carreview.com and compare it with the tires other people had suggested dollar for dollar. On the 15 x7 rim, you get a Z rated 8.5" traction patch, 400 treadwear rating, AA traction and A temperature. They offer a 205/50/15 for about 95 dollars mounted and balanced at Firestone. Anything more is robbery. Once I put them on, it was like a different car. It holds corners, launches and rides better with no bark and they are quiet on the highway. They do wear quicker than average, so be prepared to rotate regularly. All in all totally worth it. ENJOY! |

The A520's are $120 for a 205-40vr 17 inch size. They do not wear out and you can also use them as snow tires, I went all winter long with them and never got stuck and in the rain they ride better than any tire I have ever ridden. I used to have the Bridgestone Tires and it's true they do wear out super fast and they did have grip, but for 200 dollars for some 17 inch tires they are not worth the wear and tear.
