window tinting

well, i bought some X-19 smoke to tint my windows, and its pretty crappy. i keep gettin lots of air bubbles and it doesnt evenly coat the parts. does anyone know how to get better results with the x-19, or could i just use a roll of window tint that can be purchased at my local walmart?

use the rolls of tints you can get at Auto Zone or an auto shop I dont know if you wanna risk it with walmart stuff. But if you can find another brand at walmart, then its fine. Get decent stuff because one roll will make a few cars.

I just use window tint from wal-mart, its a brand carried at auto-zone, advance auto, just a few dollars cheaper.

Man I tried that and it doesn't want to stick!! Is there anythin special I need to do?
I know how it works and have used it on a 1:1 and I have used some frosted stuff on my garage windows but it just wouldn't stick for me, and yes its a good brand.
Any suggestions?

1:1 window tint works, but its pretty thick to scale, and I've tried that X-19 tint, which does'nt work that well, its better for tailights, and headlights,

I bought some at my local hardware store. They had a bunch of different shades and sell it by the foot so I got out of there cheap!
Unless you want a 'blacked out' interior use the lightest shade you can find.

Where did you buy it, what'd it cost, if you don't mind my asking?

Local hardware store 'A&A trading post'. You might try one of the monster home improvement warehouses ...I think it was about 1.50 a linear foot. You might ask at a local shop that tints cars for some scrap...

Re: window tinting

I did that last week and guy goes, you wanna tint your turn signals or something and laffed, I explained to him what I needed it for, and he goes, unless you'd put up signs that show our name at a model contest, you know just bring their signs, not the car, I couldn't have any.
