what is the legal window tint on a car's windows?
i ws going to do my back window and the coupe windows a limo tint. but what is legal on the driver and passenger side windows.20%?

depends on the state in which you reside. go to any garage that has an inspection certificate/sign on the building, they will be able to tell you..or call the local po-po box.

It all depends where you are and the rules u got there...I got 20%f/5%r and the b|tch cop gave me an 80 dollar ticket after makin me wait an hour while he wacked off in his cop car...like damn what took him so long

besides that cops in Ontario don't really care, unless they're specifically looking for that or during a routine stop they feel like harassing, or they notice. I love my tints and any lighter would make 'em useless. And make sure you get the metal kind...not the one that look blue and disgusting

WELL I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO CALI. SO I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT. HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR YOUR TINT PILOT. I WAS EXPECTING TO PAY AROUND 200 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR 5 WINDOWS.

90 dollars here in NYC all 5 windows tinted with the tint right before limo.

i live in oklahoma...they don't care if you spray paint you windows black.

I paid $129 a couple of months ago to have everything done.

It came out to about 220 with tax and all...and yes in Canada everything car related is a damn ripoff
At least they did a good job...besdies a small opening because of rear heating mesh, and at first I had serious boubles everywhere but they all dissapeared within a week

$300 running total to have my tints

wow....but i guess its true.....tint installers here in the city are a dime a dozen.....same with autoshops....you at least have many places to haggle with prices.

i am thinking about tinting the windows myself, but i am afraid it'll get bubbles!

any of you guys heard of FormulaOne tint? (www.formulaone.com) I've gotten some recomendations to go to a shop that carries this tint exclusively, and have heard some positive things about the quality of the film. Any other input? Thanks...

I iv in NC and I am getting my windows tinted in two weeks. I was priced $75 for all 5 windows in the coupe, at 5%. But I have to drive to SC to get them tinted. So my car is gonna be in the shop when I go to Myrtle Beach Which totally Sucks...

Hey if that is your car, you should buy fiberglass fangs to go in the front bumper. They would look killer on your car. And about the window tinting, in the state of SD, legal tint is 35%. The same as here. So I gotta be really careful when I get it done. I may get 20%, because 5% in the front is kinda hard to see outta of at night.
