Completed: Lotus Suer 7 Cycle Fender

Finally finished - It took just over a week to do - not bad going I think.

I am very satisfied with the outcome, the kit went together very well and left a lot of scope for little extra bits and some modification.

The cycle fenders mounted and fitted far better than I expected.

Looking forwarc now to building the 1:12 kit and of course carying on with the 1:1 - which will be very similar to this kit but with a darker blue.

If anyone has any questions please shout.

Its about 3 hrs per evening during the week, I spray parts before going to work early in the morning so that they are dry by the time I come home.
And I worked about 6hrs a day on the weekend.

When I get in a modelling spurt it is best to push thru and finish it.
Other wise I may lose interest in the model and never complete it.

Thumbs up

Great conversion! The spokes in the wheels look a little heavy for the car IMO, but looks great anyway!

Well why paint it green???

Actually we are busy building a 1:1 replica called a Locost - and are intending to do it in a similiar paint scheme - so I was testing it.

The one thing I did learn was that we were planning to leave the bonnet silver as well - but it just did not look right on the model - the blue bonett is far more streamlined in looks.

Thanx for the positive comments.

The wheels that come with the kit are very thin "biscuit" type wheels - the ones I put on were the only ones I had available at the time - would have prefered a wider choice when it came to the wheels.

Can always change them later.
