I recently bought a used 2003 cd player on ebay for my 2000 cavalier to replace the original. After installing the stereo worked fine until the ignition was turned and the theftlock activated.
I do not believe the stereo is stolen due to the fact that the ebay user I bought it from had good ratings and was selling no other automotive items. Does anyone know an easy way to unlock the radio and if so, what info do I need to request fromthe previous owner? Thanks in advance. P.S. I've seen some posts about holding down presets 2&3 until a number appears, then pressing am/fm resulting in a second number which can be taken to a dealer for a reset code. However, pressing presets 2 & 3 for 10 seconds don't seem to do anything-maybe this only applies to older models. |

Re: Theftlock
yea, just take it to the dealer, tell them your situation and they are pretty understanding. they do it for you, they have all the phone numbers and codes, and it should be free. hope that helps.

Hi,
I sell this unlock code a lot cheaper than anyone else, including the dealers. I sell them for GM, Saturn, Buick, Pontiac, Geo, Chevy (Chevrolet), Oldsmobile, GMC, and many other makes. Take a look at these pages... http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d...&sort=3&rows=50 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MESSE%3AIT&rd=1 Thanks, Justin |
