Hey,i have a 1992 Corolla DX Sedan and im about to make a cold air
intake for the 4A-FE Engine setup.I wanna know from your experience what would be the best diameter of the intake piping running to the throttle body and also how long should this pipe be.I know the FE engines are not the best high rpm performers but rather torquey.Still i wanna know these diameter/lenght parameters so i can get the more horsepower gain possible and if so possibly too retain good torque.Id apreciate if you could give me your ideas for this. Also what type of conical filter should I use (inlet diameter, etc). Finally im looking for mandrel bend tubing for the intake so id apreciate if any of you knows of a good website that sells this at a good price,if not in what kinds of stores can i get this type of tubing.(hardware stores, turbo shops etc). Id apreciate your feedback. P.S. Also any info about clamps for connecting the tubing.and how to connect to the 4A-FE's Throttle Body. |

intake pipes
i own a 91 corolla ls, i dunno if its the same as urs, but i bought a vibrant intake kit from mopac and chopped a piece off the end so it was a 90 degree followed by a straight pipe with a k&n on the end, im pretty sure the kit was for a civic, u can get this stuff from crappy tire for double the price of normal stores if u want, or u can go more welfare and get a polished aluminum pipe and a filter. as for size its somethin like 4 inches
