1)if i put a b16b head onto my b17 would i see much gains
or
2) what about b18c5 pistons and rods or b18c1 pistons and rods
or
3) bore it out to 1.8

what would be my best best opion to see better hp and be most reliable

Re: b17 with a b16b head

If you want to use OEM parts then get the B18C5 pistons, B18C1 crankshaft and rods. The B17 head should be fine just doa port and polish on it and throw in some B18C5 cams.

what do u think my compression would be with the b18c5 pistons and the b18c1 cranckshaft and rods be.

also if u could give me an estimate on how much the B18C5 pistons, B18C1 crankshaft and rods would be and how much a port n polish would be.... before i look it up. dont go out of your way to find out but if u know it would be much apricated thanks

Re: b17 with a b16b head

If the bore on the B17 is the same as a GSR/Si/LS then the crank from any 1.8 will make it a 1.8...just so you know.

I have Type R pistons and crank and other stuff in my garage, if you're interested (and if my dad wants to sell them, they ARE his) then PM me
