Hello everyone...
Here's my situation on my 1991 Eclipse GS 16V 2.0L engine non-Turbo: The car has been sitting parked for 5 months now. Prior to that it run okay. The car cranks fine, the battery is fully charged, I get fuel but no spark at the plugs...I tested it with a plug tester. The have changed the coil and the coil power module, the spark plugs and wires from a good car but still no start... Someone suggested to test the crankshaft sensor. I unplugged the sensor and checked for voltage when the ignition is ON, but I get NO voltage reading at any of the sensor plug 4 pins....I also tested the air flow meter for voltage when ignition is ON and no voltage there either!!! I'm puzzled as to what's going on...I have checked the MPI fuse (20Amp fuse by the battery) and it's good... What else can I check next to find my problem??? Is there a way to check the car's computer (under the center console) to see if the computer is still okay?? Any other suggestions will be much appreciated - Thanks |

Hey whats up! I just got a 91 Eclipse. It is giving me problems to. It is surging on the throtle and at about 4 to 4 1/2k rpm's the fuel regulator relay clicks of until the rps goes down for a sec again and clicks back on. I went to o'ryely auto and they sell a book on the car. It has a way to check your computer with a analog volt meeter and even get error codes from the computer. Good Luck. If you have any ideas with my problem let me know. THanks!
