Hello all, i am new to automotive forum and i bought recently a 92 prelude SI and put i/h/e on it, it has 115K and i was wondering what would be my best option for an upgrade:
Swap a jdm h22 w/ 40k, for a better base to start off of when doing future upgrades? Put a turbo on the h23 as it is now (still runs great.. honda obviously... ) with 115k OR, take it to a local machine shop to have them port/polish, valve jobs, new cams/ bored, on the h23.... its just winter is coming up and i am looking to do some serious upgrades over it and i was wondering what i should do, what would be worth it in the end.... any help will do, thanks all!!! |

depends on whether you want to go n/a or fi. personally i prefer all motor, so i got the h22. and when you get more money, start on working that motor over.
or you can just do nothing now, and save more money up. youre engine is getting old, but it still has some life in it still. i just dont know if i would dump alot into a base with so much on it already. if you swap with a low mileage jdm, that would be alot better. a honda with 40k is basically a new car.

the engine does have plenty of life. I got a 92 lude si also but i got over 250k miles. it still runs decent.
