My car keeps shocking me

Does anyone know why my car keeps shocking besides static electricity from my pants. I try to not slide out of my car and get out but it still shocks me. I had a bad battery that I used for awhile and then got it checked and found out it was bad(thought it was good b4). After I got the new battery it stopped but later it happened again and now it shocks me even more. Anybody ever experience this problem or am I just a good conductor of electricity.

Re: My car keeps shocking me

Also it only happens after I drive my car and get out, never when I go to my car and start to drive it.

lol, that is kinda funny when u think about it... It has to be grounding out somewhere and then when you go to get out it finds a path through you somehow. Have never heard of this though...

gotta be a ground wire in wrong place, or soft seats. just make sure when getting gas that you discharge by touching metal before you pick up nozzle. static electricity can cause a fire and could explode car, and don't use a cell phone or beepers near one either
