Why a GTSt, just because it looks like a GTR, it is not a GTR. There is no way that I would import a GTSt, and pay the legalizing fees. I own both, don't even bother with a GTSt.

Don't get me wrong, I love my GTSt, but the dollar you might as well buy a TT Supra.

Re: Looking to buy a Legal R32

Mmm. I do suppose SkylineUSA, we can get him a legal GTR R-32 for 25g, and R33 for 37-39g. But GTS-T would be 8500 for race use only, so legal would be like 19 methinks. Shoot me at nismolmr@aol.com if you are interester noyorol

question guys, would it be easier to import the GTSt and then drop in a gtr engine?? or is that not the only difference? im a mazda guy new in the skyline scene but ive seen them perform and they have piqued my curiosity. When you say drive it ? you mean drive it away, where are you guys located? west coast ? C-ya 'round. ~nemeii~

Ok. here are some of the differences:

GTR: RB26DETT engine (Racing Built 2598cc Dual cam ECCS {Electronic Concentrate Control System} Twin Turbochargers), which Nissan says pumps out 280hp. But it really pushes about 300. 4WD ATTESSA, HICAS (HIgh Capacity Active Steering) and note: that the GTR is Nissans Signiture model, so it will be built with care, and made to look much much nicer than GTS. Bullet proof cast iron block... mmmmm, power. haha.
GTS: RB20DET engine, which pushes about 210hp out, RWD lay-out.
GTS-25T: RB25DET engine, pushing about 260hp, RWD lay-out, nicer than the GTS, NICE car.

Personally I would like to get a R33 GTS shell, and drop in an RB26DETT drivetrain, RWD with power of GTR. Thats my idea of a unique sports car! Haha. Theres what I have to say in a nut shell.

(Note: If any of my information is off by a little bit, or off by a monsterous amount, please correct me in a kind fashion, we dont need anymore arguing and blow-ups on this forum.)

There is a big difference between the two cars. You can get more than engough power out of the rb20det that the rear wheels will not be able to handle as well.

A GTSt is not an option if it were me.

Re: Looking to buy a Legal R32

amazing work boys.

first, this thread should be in the "want to buy" forum.
second, you should be contacting motorex or sean morris at www.rbmotoring.com for pricing on skylines in the states, provided that that is where you are.

there's no reason you couldn't get a gts-t legalized in the states.
i'd recommend PM'ing Tyndago (sean) or going to his site for more information if you're in the US.
then start looking for used skylines in the states via ebay, etc. have fun with that...
if you want to play, you've got to pay, and i recommend sean or motorex to get a LEGAL car.

Well yea, hes right basically. What we do at Night Szevyn Racing is ussually we would just send the car through our RI. But in a case of if we were selling an R34, we would send her through MotoRex (due to they're one of the only RI's that have a handle on the OBDII crisis). So we can get you the car no problem, and legalized too. But like he said, if you have the money, you sure have my attention. haha. And even if you dont, I will still answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for making a good, and valid point Flylwsi. You could also IM Sean at RB Motoring on AIM. But ussually thats Victor on there, so just PM him I guess. Thanks for making the point man . Peace

you say cast iron block? this is why i have heard rumors they are mucho front heavy can an alumionum block be obtained ? or can it not take the jdm power generated?
They are all not 4WD ???? ack!! that ruined my plan ::sigh:: i think i need more money than planned, how much you guys say the r32 gtr go for??
well thats all for now ill talk to you guys later thanx a bunch 4 the info.

When people post, I pretty much stereotype them on what and how they post. Shame on me..........

nemeii, you should do a little more research.

flylski always has awesome pics.

"the RB26DETT would be the strongest stock engine?" Compaered to what? Strongest engine meaning? I have seen that they do last a long time, for their output power. But they are not indestructible. I can easily build another type of engine and have the same output.

Its heavy, because of the fact that it has turbos, and the AWD. The AWD is very heavy. Not to mention the front solenoids for the HICAS weigh a good amount and they are located in the engine compartment.

Why wouldnt a RWD layout be good? Thats my dream car! (soon to be built hopefully) R34 RB26DETT RWD beast... why not? Thing would kick it! Less weight than the 4WD lay-out, not as much traction, but still... RB26DETT*
