Angry Need a new engine for my95 GTP....

Ok, this may sound dumb but somehow durring my drive from my house to work my oil line busted I didn;t notice anything til i pulled into work at about 5p.m. and my car just shut down, I poped the hood and a lot of smoke came out. The first thing I though it was the timming belt but then At 10p.m. when I got off my engine was still hot! I started it and it was running but it was running really hard so I turned it off and I check the oil and iIhad no oil! and I had just changed the oil about 2 weeks ago. So i'm pretty sure my pisitons were RED HOT when my car shut off. So i'm pretty sure i need a new engine, but the question is what engine should i put in it? It had a 3.4L but I want more power so what should i put in there? I'm haveing a guy look at it but from what i've told him he said i'll probly need a new engine so what should i get?

Try the local junkyards first I guess. There has to be a 97+ Grand Prix GTP or Buick Regals.

You might try registering over at that website and asking those guys where they found their engines.

I'd just like to point out that it IS NOT a direct swap for you, and you will also need the 4T65HD transmission when going with that engine.

If you do go through with it, follow the advice on the l67swap site. Good Luck
