H22 Accord dyno

i had the basic boltons, crower cams and a full exhaust hooked up. all the work and tuning was done by redzone performance, and i am very happy with results.

Pretty nice numbers. Did you port the head and replace valves, springs and retainers or just do cams. One thing, don't over rev that thing cause I know someone that did there top end on a type r motor and floated a valve that snapped and put a hole in his piston.

i got springs and retainers too. ill probably shift around the stock limit still, eventhough i could go higher because of the springs. my peak is around 7100, so id still be shifting before 8.

anyone got other graphs? i thought the numbers were good, but someone on HT tells me i could be making more... like in the 200 range. that'd be great, but i would think thats a bit optomistic for having just cams. basic boltons dont do a great deal anyways, especially since i have a us dc header. i didnt want to pay for more dyno time, i was happy with 25whp over stock.

hey strodda if you can, can you list everything you've put on the motor. I am still trying to plan out my motor and your #'s seem really good so I'd like to get an idea of what you put on it. I know you said bolt on and cams and springs and retainers, is that all? did you use hondata or anything or a FPR? sorry for so many questions just very curious

here we go.

93 jdm h22-5spd w/phantom grip
3" cold air intake
dc ceramic 4-2-1 header
apexi ws exhaust
upgraded regulator w/o gauge
apexi v-afc
crower stage2 cams w/valve springs & retainers
skunk2 camgears
ngk wires

excluding the engine, i didnt pay that much for the power. although from here on out, it gets more expensive.

how is that world sport sounding btw?
i was looking to either get that or an rsr ex-mag II

I'm looking for a very deep, mellow tone - and a nice (non rice sounding) roar at WOT

and is passing smog hard with those cams?

the exhaust is actually pretty quiet. it does have a nice tone while standing outside, but while driving all i can hear is the roar of the engine... especially in vtec with a shortram. ill try to get a soundclip.

and i actually havent had to smog yet, not for another year. i was told that even with the cams it should pass, given that i keep the car properly maintained.
