Thumbs up JDM H22 + Accord

i've got a 93 JDM H22 engine in my 91 accord and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what would make it stall once its warmed up. I got new plugs and wires and that helped a little bit but it still does it once in a while and it doesn't seem as responsive as it used to be. Its kind of jerky when you take off like its not getting enough fuel or too much fuel. Im going to buy a new dist. cap and rotor to see if that helps out but i was wondering if you thought it might be the injectors or the fuel pump? Also the other day VTEC stopped kicking in....it usually does it once its warmed up....my engine light is on because i need a new speed sensor but i doubt that has anything to do with the loss of power....any ideas of what would make it stall or what would cause the VTEC not to kick in? any info would be greatly appreciated..thanx...

Re: JDM H22 + Accord

Sounds like i went through exact samething when i had my b16a in my old rex. I changed the fuel pump and everything went fine. About the v-tec...check if your v-tec wires is on right. Mine was like that. I the check engine light kept coming on and off because of a loose wire on the ecu pin.

Check to see if your ecu's throwing an extra code; Check vtec solenoid.

Re: JDM H22 + Accord

i figured out how to get my engine codes and i came up with a 12 and a 21. The 12 is the EGR lift sensor (exhaust gas recirculation) and 21 is the VTEC solenoid. Im guessing these 2 are why it doesn't feel as peppy as it used to. I know that the vtec solenoid is going to cause my vtec problem but what exatcly are the symptoms of the EGR lift sensor?

Re: JDM H22 + Accord

Usually i just replace the sensors. But for the code21 check if your wires are hooked on right and tight so it wont come loose. If everything is on correct then i'd suggest to get a new v-tec solenoid. I'm sure its got to be the wiring. Also check if you have enough oil and check the oil pressure.
